Your role as a home chef is to provide friendly, courteous, and efficient service to our clients and their families.

Pay Rate

  • $30- $50 per hour based on experience. Shopping and menu creation is included in this per hour rate. We also provide a compensation scale with a break down of hours required for shopping and cooking for your reference.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Creating menus for clients / or utilizing our documented recipes as a guide in the menu creation process.
  • Communicating with clients to determine their meal preferences, specifications, food allergies, and dietary restrictions.
  • Preparing customized culinary and dietary plans for clients based on their preferences, specifications,and dietary needs.
  • Shopping for ingredients that have been proposed and agreed upon by our clients.
  • Cooking meals, labeling, and organizing/portioning food items in their proper containers with company provided labels.
  • Shopping for meal ingredients as well as ensuring you have access and possession of all necessary kitchen tools and equipment to prepare the proposed menu.
  • Inspecting meal ingredients before making purchases to ensure that they are of the highest quality.
  • Preparing meals in clients’ kitchens in accordance with food health and safety regulations.
  • You will also provide the client with heating instructions for their reference which will be printed out and provided with their food items

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Must be able to cook/create diverse menu and cuisine
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts is preferred but not required
  • Proven and/or demonstrated culinary experience.
  • Sound knowledge of different cuisines as well as food health and safety regulations.
  • A strong understanding of nutrition or open to learn and continually invest in your knowledge of nutrition.
  • The ability to handle criticism.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Great communication skills.

  • Unload and load food transport bags/containers that weigh between 20 and 30lbs; be in good general health and have no back or shoulder issues.
  • Maintain and document conversations about client needs and anticipate customer’s needs and requests, always taking the position of empathy and making decisions that are customer-centric.
  • Ensure that client meals are prepared on time and delivered.
  • Maintain all requirements of safety and sanitation guidelines set by the State Health Department within your personal space or commercial space you utilize to prepare meals.
  • You are responsible for maintaining your personal hygiene and ensuring that when you are off-the-clock working with our clients, you are following best practices to protect yourself from contracting the COVID-19 virus.

 

 

Administrative Support

Primary Responsibilities

Providing administrative support means you would be supporting administrative work within the company to include virtual filing on our cloud corporate drive, sorting receipts and entering them into our accounting software, creating enhancements and improvements to file structures, workflows and processes.

Pay Rate: $12.00/hour

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work is performed in an office environment or viritually (depending on the work tasks).
  • Creating invoices and communicating with new business leads.
  • Support book keeping tasks by enter physical reciepts and/or digital business expenses into accounting software
  • Ensure payroll system is automated and direct deposits are going out on time on a weekly basis to all independent contractors
  • Maintain monthly inventory of all linen, china, flatware, equipment, and culinary items
  • Support business leadership by sending out weekly email reminders to keep leadership abreast of upcoming events, tastings, and tasks
  • Setup calendar reminders of events
  • Support leadership in transcribing client notes in an effort to build detailed documents on our clients’ needs, dietary retrisctions, likes, and dislikes
  • (Upon Request) Communicates directly with chef, clients and wedding planners, gathering necessary information for menu planning, floor plan, room set up, timelines, rental orders, decor, cost and billing details and any other requirements pertinent to their event in a timely manner and assist with those items as necessary.

Culinary Assistant for Coooking Meals

Overall Spirit of The Role

Your role as a culinary assistant is to support the chef in cooking, preparing, packaging, and labeling personal chef meals for families. By working alongside a chef you will act as support in seasoning, preparing, cutting up ingredients to cook proteins, starches, and vegetables for the menus selected by our clients.

Pay Rate

  • $125 Flat Rate per day ($15.62 hr) for up to 8 hours of production. Cleaning of production space after cooking has been included in this flat rate. There may be other tasks that you will be compensated for if requested to do additional work outside of primary responsibilities.
